Dev Diary #1: Road to open beta

Welcome to the first IdleVoid dev diary. Patch notes tell you what changed; these posts are for the why, and what's coming next.

Open beta on Android

IdleVoid has been in closed testing on Google Play while we shook out the store, ads and cloud saves. Purchases, restores and rewarded ads are all working end to end now, so the next step is opening the doors: anyone on Android will be able to install it straight from Google Play.

A new look for anomalies

Anomalies got proper artwork this week. Every one of the 28 now has its own illustrated card, with animated reveals when you pull them. Commons stay cool and steely, rares glow gold, and void-tier cards burn violet.

A home on the web

You're reading this on it. IdleVoid now has a proper homepage with the game, the platforms it runs on, and these posts in one place. It will also be home to the station shop, with a free reward to claim every week.

PC is coming

There's a native Windows build running in testing with Steam achievements and the overlay working. There's more to do before it's ready, but your station will be able to follow you from phone to browser to desktop.

Thanks for playing, and for every report in the feedback forums. See you in the void.

Jump in and see it for yourself.
